Gary and June McClintock Higher Education Scholarship

This higher education scholarship was created in honor of June and Gary McClintock who were lifetime volunteers for Richardson Soccer Association.

June was the driving force behind RSA for so many years that she was truly thought of as the face of Richardson Soccer. She functioned in every single capacity that is possible throughout the years; coach, referee, volunteer, board member and most recently our registrar for many years until she retired in 2015. She was the world's best at recruiting coaches and volunteers and the biggest champion of recreational soccer in the area. Gary dedicated countless hours as a coach, board member and most recently as our Field Coordinator at Breckinridge Park for many years.

The Richardson Soccer community was deeply saddened when June passed away suddenly in October of 2019 and this education fund took on deeper meaning. Gary still lives in Richardson and their children are also still residents in the north Texas area.

The Richardson Soccer Association will accept scholarship applications until April 1st of each year. Winners will be announced at the RSA Spring end of season General Membership Meeting. All applications will be reviewed by the RSA Executive Board to determine the annual winners.

Below are some of the requirements:

• High School Senior


• Active referee, player or volunteer in Richardson Soccer Association in good standing


• “Quality” participant in the association as determined by the committee


• Completed application submitted before the April 1st deadline.
